A man was shot and killed at an apartment complex on Skillman near 635 just after midnight this morning.
At about 12:02 a.m. Wednesday the victim — 36-year old Jerry Worthy, a black male — was in the parking lot at 9350 Skillman, Stone Ranch apartments, when the suspect approached him, demanded property and shot him in the abdomen.
Worthy died from his injuries at Baylor.
Homicide detectives are working the case and have not released further information on the suspect.
