The People’s Last Stand in nearby Mockingbird Station has a fresh face in their kitchen, and he’s dishing out brand new menu items.
Ben Leath, who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in September 2012, recently received the opportunity to join The People’s Last Stand as head chef, says Crave DFW.
The People’s Last Stand is a bar and bistro that focuses on using locally sourced flavors and ingredients in their signature cocktails. They also use natural and organic ingredients in many of their recipes. The bistro, which Leath now heads up, is designed to compliment the drink list.
People’s put the young chef to task cooking up a largely new menu, with only a handful of their old favorites remaining. People’s asked that Leath brainstorm some “elevated bar food” choices that intrigue guests without intimidating them, Crave reported.
At the same time, they also handed Leath the creative license to grow as a culinary artist and test out exciting new dishes every weekend. Watch The People’s Last Stand website for Leath’s upcoming special offerings.
