Still shots from surveillance at the Forest Hills Apartments
The Forest Hills Apartments are located near Forest and 635, a block away from Forest Lane Academy elementary school. Police are searching for four men and a woman who they say ambushed, robbed and shot a man, presumably a resident of the Forest Hills Apartments, as he unloaded tools from his vehicle.
Then they stole a truck from a second victim and left in it.
It all happened in a few minutes, June 10, beginning at about 9:15 p.m.
As for a description, all we have is: four black males and one black female. One of the black male suspects was armed with a silver revolver.
There is surveillance video, not of the crime itself, but of the suspects entering and leaving the property.
Two of the five suspects can be seen on surveillance video, hopping the fence of the complex and leaving in the car they stole, police say. The shooting victim was hit in the leg and did not sustain life-threatening injury.
