In case you haven’t heard, every living U.S. president will be gathering at the Bush Library Thursday for a big grand-opening party. My invitation must have been lost in the mail (or maybe my SPAM folder), so I’ll be finding my own lunch that day — but it won’t be anywhere near SMU because just about every street around the school will either be closed or clogged with delays.
Here’s the street report from DPD:
Wednesday, April 24 road closures
• SMU Blvd., between Airline Rd. and Central Expressway.
• University Blvd. will be closed between Hillcrest Ave. and Airline Rd. from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Bishop Blvd. on the SMU campus.
Thursday, April 25 (Dedication Day) road closures
• The southbound access/service road of Central Expressway, between University Blvd. and Mockingbird Ln.
• SMU Boulevard, between Airline Rd. and Central Expressway.
• University Blvd., between Hillcrest Ave. and Airline Rd.
• Boedecker St., between Dyer St. and SMU Blvd.
• Airline Rd., between Dyer St. and Binkley Ave.
• Bush Ave., formerly Airline/Dublin.
• Bishop Blvd. on the SMU campus.
Friday, April 26 road closures are expected to continue late into the evening
• SMU Blvd., between Airline Rd. and Central Expressway.

Additional Road Closures in the City of Dallas
• The following closures may affect your normal travel route beginning at 6pm Wednesday, April 24, 2013 and conclude at 10am Thursday April 25, 2013. Please use the following list of street closures to plan your travel during these times and seek alternative routes to minimize traffic delays in the affected areas.
• The southbound Jefferson Street viaduct crossovers will be closed.
• The northbound on-ramp to the Marsalis Avenue viaduct.
• The entry to Oak Farm off Marsalis Avenue north of First Street.
• The U-turn at the Marsalis Avenue and Jefferson Street viaduct.
