Earlier today police responded to a shooting in the Hamilton Park area. They arrived to find a pregnant woman badly injured by an apparent bullet wound. Police saw the suspect fleeing the scene, according to the report. The woman yelled out the name, Tyrone, police say.
The police attempted to stop the suspect but he drove off, leading police on a car chase through the northern Dallas area and back to Hamilton Park where the suspect exited the car by foot, shot an officer and barricaded himself inside a home.
The victim, Breshuana Jackson, and the unborn child died. The officer who was shot is home and OK.
Police now have reportedly taken Tyrone Christopher Allen, 26, into custody.
