Sunday at about 5 p.m. a man reportedly shot another man with a handgun and caused “serious bodily injury,” according to a police report, outside an apartment complex in the Skillman-Audelia area.
Helicopters and police on foot spent the late afternoon searching the area, the creeks, and surrounding neighborhoods, mine included. As far as we know, an arrest has not been made. The victim was Quantayveous Farris, 19, a black male. The police, according to the report, believe the shooting was gang related.
Earlier in the weekend, Saturday night, a separate shooting occurred virtually next door in the 9300 block of Skillman. That one reportedly was drug related.
