T-shirts go on sale Thursday, April 4, at 10 a.m.

In a display of love for the Lake Highlands community and a celebration of solidarity during a recent crime scare (a suspected serial rapist terrorizing neighborhood women was apprehended yesterday) T. Hee Greetings and several neighborhood businesses (The C+N+T Group of Nathan Grace Real Estate, Donald Wright Group Real Estate, Teklon Remodeling and Jennifer Wilcox State Farm Insurance, all of whom contributed to the printing of the shirts) will sell “Community. Lake Highlands” T-shirts, and give all proceeds to the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, according to organizers.

Also, shoppers are encouraged to purchase a shirt for a member of the Dallas Police Department, “as a small ‘thank you’ for catching [the suspected rapist] … [organizers] will drop them off for the officers in the next week or two,” organizers note.

Important: as of now, there is a small window of opportunity to get these shirts. They will be for sale at T. Hee Gifts, Walnut Hill-Audelia location only) tomorrow, Thursday from 10 a.m. – noon. Cash or check, $10 per shirt, should be payable to DARCC. Adult S, M, L, XL.

The $10 donations toward officers’ shirts will be accepted at the store through Friday.
