In an apparent response to calls from the Lake Highlands community for information and assistance after three unsolved rapes in the neighborhood, the Northeast Division of the Dallas Police Department will host an informational gathering tonight at Lake Highlands High School at 7 p.m. in the large gym.
“The focus of this meeting is to update the citizens of Lake Highlands and Northeast Dallas of the ongoing investigation of the Sexual Assault Cases in Lake Highlands,” said an email, released late this afternoon by LHHS and several HOAs.
“Also Dr. Nick Chamberlin, a self defense expert, will be speaking on personal self defense.”
Judging by last night’s regularly-scheduled crime stats reporting event, the crowd will be large and expecting some answers from police.
LHHS is located at 9449 Church Road.
