It’s going to be some enchanted evening in Lake Highlands tonight as the high school theater presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific, the musical about a nurse on a Pacific island during WWII who falls in love with a local.
Stars of the show include senior Hannah Willard, senior Patrick Mahurin, junior Shane Bono, junior Taylor Siskind and junior Chris Thruong.
Thruong, Mahurin and Bono recently qualified for all-state choir, so expect some vocal virtuosity.
Shows are nightly Jan. 24-26 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $10. A special tribute for veterans will take place Saturday, Jan. 26. That performance will be free for all veterans and active military.
