A zoning change approved last week by the City Plan Commission will open the way for a plan to turn 10 acres of land at Skillman Church into single family homes.
Before last week’s replat approval, the Prescott/ Forest Meadow Baptist Church-owned property was zoned for multifamily residential. There previously was a plan to build a high rise, retirement living facility there (one of the first controversies I ever wrote about for the Advocate).
Realtor Peggy Hill tells us a change in zoning like this from very dense use back to single-family doesn’t happen very often.
