A suspect in the stabbing death of a Lake Highlands man, who lived in apartments on Whitehurst, has been arrested after police found his wallet at the crime scene.
Police have arrested 48-year-old Gregory Autry after he allegedly stabbed 27-year-old Jamal Salaam during a home-invasion robbery, according to a Fox 4 story.
Salaam and another victim reportedly jumped from their second story balcony, but not before Salaam was stabbed. Salaam collapsed shortly after his jump and did not survive. A witness saw a blood-covered Autry and another suspect return to the victim’s apartment to “shower and change,” reportedly.
Police recovered Autry’s wallet somewhere near Salaam’s apartment. They believe he dropped it during the aforementioned events.
