If you would like to help fund a cure for juvenile diabetes and enjoy some good food at the same time, Saturday morning’s JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and lunch at JJ’s Cafe, 10233 E. Northwest Highway, is one way to do it. A portion of JJ’s proceeds all day (they’re open from 7 a.m.-2 p.m.) will benefit the group.
The dining event is being organized by neighborhood resident Julie Carter, who’s the grandmother of an 11-year-old girl with Type 1 diabetes. For information, you can reach carter at jcarter@sbcglobal.net. The walk begins at the American Airlines Center Downtown Saturday morning.
