Dancing with the Dettes Clinic October 9

The Lake Highlands Highlandettes Dancing with the Dettes clinic is set for Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

This is a fundraiser for the Lake Highlands High School drill team during which team members teach girls grades k-8 how to dance like a Highlandette.

All pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt.	Participants registering late or at the door will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first serve basis.

In addition to the t-shirt, participants who perform p-lines with the Highlandettes will take home their own set of pom-poms after the performance!

All Participants should wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for free movement. Dance shoes (jazz or ballet) or tennis shoes are acceptable.

Pizza and drinks will be provided at the clinic.

PARENT SHOW-OFF

Join us at 2:30 pm in the LHHS LARGE GYM to see the choreography that your child learned at the clinic as well as a special performance by the Highlandettes. Dancers will be dismissed following the show-off. (Parents, please have photo ID available)

All participants are invited to perform our “P lines” (pom lines) with the Highlandettes during the pre-game of the LHHS Varsity Football Game on Oct. 26^th! Please indicate whether or not you will be performing on this date by circling the correct option on your registration form. Please note the different costs associated with each option and pay accordingly.

LHHS vs. Sunset Football Game

Perform the pre-game show at 7pm. (arrive at stadium at 6:30pm)

Practice and Performance: Meet at 6:30 on Friday, Oct 26^th to practice before the performance. Meet a Dette near the front entrance of LHHS Wildcat Stadium -she’ll escort the participant inside the gates on the north end of the field (by the scoreboard). Admission applies only to the child wearing the t-shirt. Parents may purchase tickets at the game.

Post Performance: Participants will need to be picked up inside the north gates (outside girls’ restrooms) following their performance. Please stick around to watch the Highlandettes perform at Halftime!

What to Wear: Dancing with Dettes T-shirt, black shorts or dance pants, tennis shoes, hair in a ponytail and A BIG SMILE!

CANCELLATION / INFORMATION:

If, due to inclement weather or other emergency, the clinic must be cancelled or re-scheduled, you will be notified by a posting on www.highlandettes.com and/or a phone call, if possible. Should your plans change and your child is unable to attend our clinic, please request a refund prior to the clinic date. No refunds will be given after the clinic occurs.

In case of accident or serious illness, I request the Highlandettes to contact me. If the Highlandettes are unable to reach me, I hereby authorize the Highlandettes to render treatment or transport my child to the nearest treatment facility. I also authorize the use of clinic photos for publicity purposes.
