What do you get when more than 50 Lake Highlands families get together to host a garage sale? You get a bargain hunter’s paradise, including housewares, sporting goods, furniture, jewelry, gifts and a treasure trove of unique finds.
Of course, there’ll be plenty of girlie-girl stuff. The Dettes, after all, are the hostesses of this party. But they’ve got brothers (though some don’t admit it) and they’ve recruited sale donations from all over LH. (If you’ve got things you’d like to give away, you can drop them at the school’s loading dock, between the football field and the auditorium, Friday, August 24th between 3 and 6pm.)
The regular sale is Saturday, August 25th from 8am to 2pm in the LHHS gym. If you want a first chance at the best stuff, pay an extra $5 donation to the Dettes and go to the pre-sale Friday night from 9-10pm.
