Braden Beasley is heading off to Lake Highlands Freshman Center next year, and he’s practicing all summer to try out for the Wildcat golf team. He’s got to feel good about his chances after hitting a double eagle Sunday at Eastern Hills Country Club in Garland.
“He blasted the longest drive of his life – 284 yards – on the par 5 11th hole,” said his proud dad Keith, “then drew a 171 yard 5 iron into the cup.”
The 14-year-old had a chance to meet some of LH’s finest in May when he played in the Cat Classic golf tournament, the annual fundraiser for the Wildcat Club. Co-chairs Keith and Paula Beasley have agreed to lead that event again in 2013.
Congratulations and good luck, Braden!
