Shakespeare Dallas is presenting scenes from Shakespeare in the Park’s ‘Twelfth Night’ as part of the Medallion Center’s 50th anniversary celebration, dubbed a Sidewalk Sale-A-Bration, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. this Saturday, June 2.

The retail center bordered by Northwest Highway, Southwestern, Skillman and Abrams has seen a resurgence of sorts in recent years and weathered some of the recession fallout — good reasons to celebrate the five decade mark.

Shakespeare in the Park’s ‘Twelfth Night’ is a comedy filled with Shakespeare’s stubborn, comedic characters and side splitting situations, including jealousy, mistaken identity and cross-dressing. The live, 20-minute performances will take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. near Centennial.

In addition to the free performances, the celebration includes free train rides for the kids, dog adoptions, balloons, popcorn and face painting.

Free tickets to Shakespeare in the Park and Dallas Children’s Theater will be given out as well.
