The new cheerleaders for Lake Highlands High School will be hosting a cheer clinic Saturday for Kindergarten-6th grade girls. Elementary-age cuties will learn jumps, motions, dances and chants from the varsity and JV squad, named last month, and receive a t-shirt and an individual photo taken with the Wildcat mascot.
The event will be held at the LHHS large gym, and check in begins at 8:15 am. Cheer instruction kicks off at 9, with a show for parents at 10:45.
You’ll save money by signing up early – email cheer mom Heather Haskins here for a form and registration is $30 by Wednesday – or you can register at the door and pay $35.
The 2012-13 LHHS Varsity Cheerleaders are: Madeline Alaggio, Akhrysta Anderson, Brianna Bouldin, Chelsea Brown, Catherine Chew, Brittany DiPaolo, Caroline Haskins, Olivia Lewis, Katherine McCoy, Ali Miller, Natalie Ryan, Schaeffer Schoppaul, Taylor Walker, Peyton Williams and Callie Wood.
The mascot is Monica Kelley.
The JV Cheerleaders are: Kayla Banks, Rachel Dean, Anna Gerteisen, Eleanor Hearne, Lilly Maxwell, Jenna Mellinger, Katie Miller, Lauren Pendleton, Mary Lea Phillips, Samantha Rosenthal, Sydney Schnurrenberger, Winslow Sowards, Rachel Weaver, Erica White and Mariah White.
