ABC’s Good Morning Texas will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Highlandettes Tuesday morning, hosting Lauren Turnbull, the current director, Julie Erck Brooks, captain from 1973-74 and a former director, and Amy Strawn Moore, Dette officer from 1990-91. Some members of the current team will also be in the GMT studio to perform a kick routine on live TV.

The coverage on WFAA (and in Advocate magazines this month) is promoting the 50th Anniversary and their Spring Revue “A Magical 50 Years,” to be held this Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are on sale now online here or can be purchased at the door (reserved seats are $10, general admission is $8), and the show begins at 7:30pm in the LHHS auditorium.
