To give neighbors a taste of what’s happening this coming Sunday at the Lake Highlands Town Center amphitheater, on today’s podcast we talk with country artist Granger Smith, who will be performing Sunday night at his third annual benefit concert for the Lake Highlands High School Wranglers. Smith is a proud LHHS Wrangler alumnus, and current Wrangler seniors Michael Miller and Paige Moudy also joined us for the podcast.

Smith has a new album, a new daughter (London — he wrote a song for her before her birth) and a concert schedule that made us understand why he wrote the song “Sleeping on the Interstate.” He’s a busy guy, but as he tells us on the podcast, he’s happy to make time for such a good cause in his old stomping grounds.

Concert tickets are $10, and the show begins at 4:30 p.m. It will include the Wranglers performing to one of Smith’s songs, “Cherry Lipstick,” and food truck Culinary Improv will be on site with items for purchase.
