White Rock Elementary families are celebrating the school’s 50th anniversary, and they’re inviting alums from years gone by to come back and see how the campus has flourished. With the motto “Once a Seahawk, always a Seahawk!” they’re hosting an all-family picnic Thursday, October 13 from 6-7:30 pm on the WRE playground. Delicious burgers will be catered by Mooyah, and there’ll be chips, lemonade, water and candy for sale. Proceeds will be used by the sixth grade for graduation activities, service projects and a lasting gift to the school. A rain date is scheduled for October 20.
