The newly refurbished Lake Highlands North Recreation Center will be the site of a new project by Park Cities Baptist Church to bring their popular summer basketball camps here to reach LH kids. Though the church has many members from LH, few Wildcats had been making the trek to their Preston Center campus, so Mohammed has come to the mountain, so to speak.
The camps will be held the week of June 27-July 1 and are open to boys and girls. “Hoopsters” now completing kindergarten and 1st grade may attend from 9am to noon, and “All-Stars” now completing 2nd-6th grade may attend from 1 to 4 pm. Campers will pay $140 for the week, but assistance is available for interested underprivileged families.
If you’d like more information, you may contact Damon Berry, Minister of Sports Outreach, at 214-860-1570.
