Class of 2007 Bishop Lynch graduate Maryann Baker is a Texas A&M senior who played guard on the 2011 NCAA tournament championship Aggie women’s basketball team.

Baker, who grew up in the White Rock Lake area, was an honor student and homecoming queen at Bishop Lynch.

She comes from an athletic family. Dad Ron Baker played basketball for Clark University, and brother Ben played for Texas Tech. Her mom, Carol Sansone Baker, is a 1972 Bishop Lynch graduate.

The Aggies beat Notre Dame to win the championship April 5. Baker had one basket and one rebound in that game.
