Lake Highlands High got the best of Richardson High Tuesday night at home, and pitcher Dylan Porter got the win as the Wildcats rolled the Eagles 6-1.
University of Texas commit Taylor Stell and teammate David Bloodworth each had a double in the win as the Wildcats racked up 10 hits. The only run given up by Lake Highlands was a solo-shot by Richardson’s Joey Schattle.
The Wildcats are now tied with W.T. White who also picked up a win at home against Skyline Tuesday.
Lake Highlands and W.T. White will match wits next week, but could the Longhorns have two District 9-5A games between now and then, and the Wildcats are off for a week.
While the match-up will come into play at the end of the season, nothing will be decisive directly after that game.
Still, I would think LHHS would like to pick up a win on the road and even things out considering they have already dropped one game to W.T. White at home earlier this season.
