Auditions were held this week to select officers for next year’s Lake Highlands High School drill team. Returning as Highlandette Captain will be Sarah Blettner; Megan Jodie and Katy Paulsen will serve as 1st Lieutenants; and Katie Campbell, Berkley Johnson and Ruthie Rutledge will be Lieutenants. In addition to their roles dancing front and center for the Dettes, the officers’ leadership responsibilities include instruction, choreography and mentoring to the younger dancers.
