In the March issue, food writer Emily Toman highlighted neighborhood restaurant Tukta Thai — the owner talks on video about what makes the place so special.

For some off the beaten path Asian gems, see Emily’s top-three list. Bistro B has become one of my favorite places to pick up food for the fam. A king-size bowl of veggie, seafood and noodle soup is $7.95 and lasted me three days—no lie. Bistro B’s menu is the Asian equivalent to Cheesecake Factory and, call me an amateur (it’s true), I love that every item includes a photo. For a smaller, quieter atmosphere with equally good food, there’s Pho 95, which is in the same lot as Bistro B. Kazy’s supplies fish to many of Dallas’ top sushi restaurants, but they also have a deli. Details about all four eateries right here.
