Here are some facts about the two teams heading into Friday night, and it should help you come up with a logical answer to the question posed in the headline. Who do you think will win, and get into the Class 5A Bi-District Boys Basketball Playoffs?

• Lake Highlands has lost its last four games, and Richardson has won four of its last five.
• Lake Highlands scores 70 ppg, good enough for fourth in the area. Richardson averages 58 ppg, good enough for top 20.
• Richardson gives up 58 ppg, while Lake Highlands gives up 60 ppg.
• Lake Highlands has three players who average at least 14 ppg, Trey Bingham, 18, Taylor Stell, 16, and James Preston, 14. Richardson has one player who averages at least double digits per game, Torrance Carr, 18. Malcolm Oaks averages just under 10 ppg.
• Richardson has four players with at least 100 rebounds this season, and three with at least 180. Lake Highlands has three players with at least 130 rebounds, and one, Stell, with 326, good enough for 11 a game.
• Richardson is the only team in District 9-5A who can claim they beat Berkner. Lake Highlands lost twice to Berkner.

So there you have it, fun facts heading into Friday night’s play-in game to decide who moves on. I can honestly say I don’t have a clue who will win, the evidence gives Richardson momentum, but the Lake Highlands has shown all season that if they control the boards, they win games.
