The snow storm made things around DFW dicey for a while, but here in Lake Highlands it was good old-fashioned fun, with folks staying home for days on end playing in the snow. My four kids are gone away to college, so I went out to enjoy the adorable children in my neighborhood, who found a way to make their own fun. Some had real sleds made of wood or plastic, but some used metal cookie sheets or plastic laundry baskets, and one recycled a political yard sign. Brilliant. You can see my quick little video below.
