The Lochwood Library, 11211 Lochwood (at Garland) will hold a teen job skills workshop Saturday, Jan. 15 from  2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. It’s just a bit outside of LH, but if you have a teen who thinks its OK to wear headphones into a job interview, it might be worth the .5 mile drive. Local professionals will teach first-time job applicants how to dress, approach employers, fill out applications and the like.

Last chance to see neighborhood resident Rob McCollum in The Drowsy Chaperone at Theatre Three (the show has been extended through Jan. 15).

Read to “Rocky” the dog at the Audelia Road Library, 10045 Audelia—children in kindergarten through fifth grade read books to Heart of Texas therapy dogs. Children may bring their own books. The program helps the dogs and boosts children’s interest in reading, organizers say. For more information, call 214.670.1350 or send an email to audeliaroad@dallaslibrary.org.
