Now that the big day is over, you’re probably ready to rid yourself of the drying tree and begin sweeping and vacuuming the pine needles that you know you’ll continue to find in nooks and crannies well into next year (was it worth it?). Until January 15, you can drop your tree off for recycling at Flag Pole Hill; a recycled tree can be reused for mulch, etc.
You could just wait for bulk trash pickup, or reuse your tree as a garden insulator (just a thought). And if you are into that type of thing, consider driving your tree over to Central Market at 5750 Lovers from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 8 and get in on a free composting class (10 a.m. or 2 p.m.) and get a free composting bin (while they last).
