In this week’s podcast, we were inspired by the DMN’s recent Sunday Points section on parental involvement, and talk about what administrators, educators and teachers really want when they ask parents to be involved in their children’s education. Carol Toler points out that one of LHHS’ best teachers, David Wood, isn’t that interested in long discussions with parents, and both Toler and Ellen Raff sound off on the barriers to actually entering a school in the first place.

In light of December’s Advocate cover story on recipes, we mention some of our own favorites. Interestingly enough, all of them involve family. (And sugar.)
