Scott Smith, LHHS head coach, said the fans in the Lake Highlands community have been the best a team could ask for this season and he doesn’t expect that to change as the Wildcats enter the Region II Bi-District Playoffs against South Garland Saturday at noon at Ford Stadium.
“I expect our crowd to be just like it has been all season,” Smith said. “And that’s an awesome crowd. We have had the best support this season and that really makes a difference. From the band, to the drill team, to the cheerleaders, to the fans they have all been supportive and really given us that little extra to win.”
Tickets will be on sale for the first round playoff match from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday at Lake Highlands. Tickets purchased in advance are $3 for students and $5 for adults. All tickets are $7 at the Ford Stadium gate.
Here is my little tip of the day on ticket sales. Buy them at Lake Highlands on Friday, because the line gets pretty backed up at Ford Stadium. Just a thought, plus if you have a family of five, you can save up to $16.
