Veterans and active duty military can receive a free meal at Applebee's Thursday in honor of Veteran's Day

All Applebee’s Restaurants nationwide, including the Medallion location in Lake Highlands, will be serving a free meal to veterans and active duty military on Veteran’s Day, Thursday November 11. Applebee’s gave away a million meals last year and expects to reach even more vets this year through the use of social media networks like Facebook and Twitter. Diners need to show proof of military service, such as a military ID card or photo in uniform.

If you haven’t served in the military but you appreciate those who do, you can write a note of thanks on Applebee’s Thank-A-Vet website page. The site also welcomes photos of members of the military in uniform, easily uploaded here.
