The City of Dallas has teamed up with Lake Highlands Elementary for a community-wide Recycling Roundup Saturday, October 23rd from 10 am to 2 pm. You can bring electronics, scrap metal, tires, batteries, cooking oil, light bulbs and many other difficult-to-discard items to be recycled. They’ll also have document shredding to help guard you from identity theft.
After dropping off your items, you are invited to stay and enjoy hot dogs and other goodies, being sold to raise money for LHE student activities, and buy Wildcat gear from the LHE Spirit Store. Dallas Police will be on hand to teach kids about bicycle safety, and there’ll be a bounce house and slide for kids.
