Oh no — this is scary. The Exchange Club Lake Highlands Halloween Carnival is canceled this year. Boo. Every year the Exchange Club hosts a haunted party for all the neighborhood kids. It’s by far the best-attended Halloween affair in our neighborhood, but this year, because of a huge remodeling project happening at the LH North rec center where the carnival typically takes place, it won’t happen. Exchange Club president Tommy Bailey says they just couldn’t find a suitable replacement location.
Don’t worry too much, because our neighborhood schools and associations are sure to pull through with plenty of holiday festivals and activities.
