What’s the key to keeping property values high in Lake Highlands? Attracting and welcoming energetic young families to the neighborhood and encouraging them to play an active role in our schools.

Merriman Park Elementary is doing their part. Their PTA hosted 45 future MPE families for a Preschoolers Welcome in September. The party, held at the home of MPE parents Carl and Dee Ann Baggett, included a bounce house donated by the Lake Highlands YMCA and face-painting by Bubbles the Clown. The Hamburger Man cooked burgers and hot dogs for the crowd and local realtor Shelby James donated the chips for dinner. More than 170 people attended.
