The middle school youth group from Highland Oaks Church of Christ is hosting Mission Week, and they’ve been working with shut-ins, serving at a food pantry and learning from other neighborhood service activities. Today they’re leading Lemon:Aid, an effort to raise money and awareness for the plight of the African people. Their lemonade stand will be open 11-3 at LA Fitness on Skillman at Walnut Hill and all of LH is invited to participate. Funds raised will go to Blood:Water Mission, which exists to empower communities to work together to establish safe drinking water and a cure for HIV/AIDS.
