Tuesday’s final day of the 5A Region II track and field meet was a difficult one for the Lake Highlands track and field team.

Isaac Grieder turned in the top finish among LH competitors with fourth place in the pole vault. Grieder’s top mark was 15-6.

Ronnie Jordan finished fifth in the 110 hurdles in 14.5 and eighth in the 300 hurdles in 44.08. Both times were slowing than his qualifying times.

Meron Fessahaie finished ninth in the 1,600 meter run in 4:24.20. Teammate Nathan Hogg was 21st in 4:48.45.

Zack Knickman took 19th in the discus with a throw of 117-3.

The LH boys finished 20th in the team standings with 12 points.

On the girls’ side, Curry Young finished eighth in the 100-meter dash in 12.24 and was also eighth in the 200 meters in 25.57. Both times were slower than her qualifying times from Monday.
