Two movies filmed in East Dallas screen during the USA Film Festival at the Angelika theater Friday.
A couple of fundraising carnivals are happening in East Dallas this weekend. The first is the Sanger Stampede at Alex Sanger Elementary from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. It includes 5k and 1k races, plus a bounce house, games and music. The second is the Children’s Center spring carnival, "Kickin’ it Old School". That one is Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
The Bishop Lynch Brigade’s spring market, an arts-and-crafts sale, is from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
The White Rock Lake Festival is Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m.
The Reverend Horton Heat is putting on a show to benefit Stonewall Jackson Elementary School Saturday at Life in Deep Ellum. Tickets to "Shake, Rattle & Roll" are $50 and include a Mexican food buffet.
