After claiming a piece of the District 9-5A softball title for the second year in a row, the Lady Wildcats are ready to make another run into the playoffs. LH plays a one-game playoff at 7 p.m. Friday night against Sachse at Frisco High School.
The Sachse Mustangs are 12-10 and finished third in District 10-5A with an 8-4 district record. They come into the playoffs having won three of their last four games, while the Lady Cats have won seven of their last eight.
Erin Brennan is the probable starter at pitcher for Lake Highlands. Brennan put up excellent numbers again this year, posting a 16-6 record, 1.45 ERA and and a .453 batting average.
