Last year around this time, you may remember, Lake Highlands was all abuzz about The Ticket radio station guys getting stomped in basketball by a bunch of girls from LHHS. (If you don’t remember, here is a reminder)
LHHS junior Hannah Wedding (only a sophomore at the time) was one of LH’s stronger players (you can see her in the video after the jump).
I touched base with her recently and it turns out she has been selected to represent Texas this summer in an international tournament in Australia.
In order to get there, however, she needs to raise about $6,000 and she could use all the help from the community that she can get.
Hannah calls this trip the “opportunity of a lifetime” that would help her fulfill her goal of someday soon attending college.
“The tournament would give me national and international exposure and I would be competing at one of the highest levels. This would help me on my path to a successful career and college education,” she says.
