Lake Highlands junior Jessica Ritter earned a berth in the Class 5A Region II tournament with a sixth-place finish at the District 9-5A tourney earlier this week at Richardson’s Sherrill Park course.
Ritter shot 84-87 for a 171 total to claim one of two qualifying spots for individuals whose teams did not also qualify for regionals.
Creekview won the tournament with a 630 and Richardson’s Gold team finished second with a 778 to claim the two team berths to regionals. Lake Highlands finished third with an 821 team score.
