On a night when the senior women of Espree sang the national anthem, and Tracey Bishkin,  "the Wildcat baseball team’s favorite teacher," threw a pretty good first pitch, the LH baseball team still lost to W.T. White, 4-3.

The Wildcats got into trouble early, but gave up only one run after W.T. White loaded the bases with one out in the first inning. LH’s Michael Ketchmark responded in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI double to tie the score.

Byron Burns knocked in a run in the second inning with one of his four hits on the night. Ryan Browder’s RBI double in the fifth stretched the LH lead to 3-1.

W.T. White scored once in the sixth inning and twice in the seventh to hand the Wildcats their third straight district loss.

Judson Luther pitched a complete game for LH and struck out six Longhorns.

The Wildcats’ next game is Thursday night at Creekview. The JV plays at 4:30 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7 p.m.
