Only one game stands between the Wildcat soccer team and a district championship. They’ll face sad sack Molina at Kincaide Stadium Friday night.

The Cats went into halftime last night tied at 0-0 but brimming with confidence. Bleachers in The Boneyard were full of rowdy fans and the team’s seniors were honored at a halftime presentation in recognition of their final season and their four years of participation. Even the weather seemed on our side with temperatures in the sixties – seemingly balmy for seasoned soccer fans.

In the second half, Reagan Dunk scored on a ball passed around the field like a pinball – a show of strong teamwork. Later Carter Bredehoeft shot and the goalkeeper bobbled it, enabling Joel Mendoza to clean it up and put it in. Finally, as seen on this video, Young Swede took a corner kick and Big Guy Abdoulaye Faly tapped it in for the 3-1 win.
