It’s "Go Time" for the Lady Wildcats as they face Berkner on Tuesday night with a playoff spot potentially on the line. Both teams sport 6-5 records and are tied for fourth place in the District 9-5A girls basketball standings. Berkner holds the tiebreaker for the fourth and final playoff spot after beating LH, 40-39, in their last meeting.
With the winner of this game controlling their playoff destiny, both sides will be bringing their best. After Berkner, the Lady Wildcats finish the regular season against second-place Richardson (9-2) and W.T. White (1-10). Even with a win over Berkner, LH would most likely need a win over one of those two to lock in a playoff spot.
After a rough non-district schedule and a season-long battle with injuries, making the playoffs would be a huge accomplishment this year. The LH-Berkner varsity game tips off at 7:30 p.m. in the LH Gym.
