Despite losing to Berkner by five points the last time they met, LH boys basketball coach believes his team can win Tuesday night’s rematch with the Rams. But he’s still cautious.
"Our biggest challenge is finding a way to end up on top," Wylie said. "They play an aggressive man-to-man defense that we don’t see very often."
The junior varsity game is at 6 p.m. followed by the varsity clash at 7:30 p.m. at Berkner.
Against Berkner, the Wildcats will have to find a way to win on the road as they did last week against playoff-contending Skyline.
"That game was obviously a boost for our team," Wylie said. "The team has been practicing with a lot of intensity and the hard work was validated with a win."

Unfortunately for LH, Berkner is coming off its first district loss last Friday at the hands of Carrollton Creekview. The Rams could be playing with extra fury after their efforts to go undefeated in district fell short.
"I’ve been with teams that have bounced back and been very strong coming after a loss," Wylie said. "But sometimes you also can lose once, and then kind of fall into a funk."
Tuesday’s game could have huge playoff implications for both teams. The Wildcats are tied with both Skyline and Richardson for third place in the district. With only four playoff berths, every game is crucial. The Rams are ranked ninth in the area and are looking to hold on to first place and the district’s top seed for the playoffs.
