The freezing weather forced changes in the schedule, but both the girls’ and the boys’ teams added victories Friday night with wins over Sunset High.

Senior Ali Vann scored twice in the Lady Cats 6-1 win at home, with one goal each for Erin Gossett, Avery Voigt, Brinkley Field and Norma Perez.

Reagan Dunk and Ben Toler both put the ball in the net early in the boys’ away game, but the Bisons made it too close for comfort, scoring on a penalty kick after an aggressive save by goalkeeper Myles Osborn. When sophomore Joel Mendoza scored on a penalty kick in the second half, the score became 3-1 and the Cats victory was assured.

Both teams face the Rams Tuesday night – the boys at The Boneyard and the girls at Berkner’s B field.
