On a night when the two main scoreboards in the LH gym were not working, it began to look as if neither Lake Highlands nor Molina would need them. The game was scoreless halfway through the first quarter. The Wildcats were held without a point for almost the first six minutes of the game.

LH was without starting guard Ricky Zorn, who was at Harvard on a college visit, and Aaron Mazibuko played limited minutes because of a calf injury.

After leading by only two points at halftime, and six points going into the fourth quarter, the Wildcats broke the game open in the final minutes, outscoring the Jaguars by 16 points in the final quarter.

Most of Lake Highlands’ offense came from Trey Bingham, who scored 27 points on the night.

"We had to come out and prove ourselves tonight. We were down in the third quarter and we were able to come back," Bingham said. "We came into this game in fourth place in the district and we have to build on tonight’s win for the rest of the season."

LH next plays at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday against Skyline at Forester Fieldhouse.
