LH’s Cindy Funderburgh reports this morning that the Dallas group on a mission trip to Haiti is making its way to the Port-au-Prince airport and hoping to head home today. “We do know that there are injuries – two are critical. Seven people made the difficult 40 mile trek to the airport, but we don’t know if the ones that stayed behind in Petit Goave are injured and unable to travel or if the injured were sent in a different vehicle. There is a military transport that will depart from the Port-au-Prince airport today and we are hoping they will be allowed to get on that. We understand there are about 45,000 Americans in Haiti, so our friends are not the only ones trying to leave.”
Cindy asks for continued prayer for the group. “We don’t know if they have been able to receive any medical treatment. Hillary Clinton’s personal aide has the names and location of the group remaining in Petit Goave and we are hoping they will receive help soon.”
