The LH wrestling team went into the holiday break with a bang by overwhelming the other three RISD schools in a quad meet Friday.
The three mats in the LH small gym were kept busy with Wildcats wins. LH beat Richardson 79-3, Pearce 68-15 and Berkner 69-12.
Wrestlers who went 3-0 included seniors Drew Llorett, Isaac Kinsella, Robbie Penny, Matthew Keath, John Powers, Isaac Grieder, Brent Bono, Ebrima Njie; junior Reid Zambordino and sophomores Duncan Mcauley and Nathan Schulman.
The team is 17-0 in duals and has four tournament championships. Three LH wrestlers are undefeated: Kinsella and Grieder are both 23-0 and Njie is 20-0.
The wrestling team will take a break from competition (but not practice) and will resume Jan. 2 with the state duals qualifier at Allen.
