This weekend I braved the Christmastime crowds to check out The Trains at NorthPark, the most elaborate toy train exhibition in Texas. If you really take the time to inspect all the detail, you could spend about an hour looking at this display. The cityscape replicas include landmarks like Mount Rushmore, and the White House — and some of those toy trains were painted by neighbor Marissa Dawson, who we featured in this month’s Advocate. After the jump, you’ll find a video of highlights from the holiday exhibition.

The Trains at NorthPark will be open through Jan. 3, tickets are $3to $6, and proceeds benefit the Dallas Ronald McDonald House.
